Seoul — Nota AI, a startup specializing in AI model compression and optimization, has announced a strategic partnership with Samsung Electronics. The deal will see Nota AI’s optimization platform integrated into the Exynos 2600, Samsung's next-generation mobile processor.

Under the agreement, Nota AI will play a direct role in developing the next iteration of Exynos AI Studio, Samsung's proprietary toolkit for AI development. According to a Nota AI representative, the company will facilitate the operation of large-scale generative AI models on the Exynos 2600. Key goals include maintaining high model accuracy while significantly streamlining the deployment process for developers through automated optimization systems.

This collaboration is expected to enable users to experience powerful generative AI features directly on their devices. By processing data locally rather than relying on cloud connectivity, the technology promises faster processing speeds and enhanced privacy—critical factors as smartphone manufacturers increasingly pivot toward an "on-device AI" model.

Nota AI is best known for its Netzpresso platform, which allows for the optimization and deployment of AI models across various hardware environments. The platform claims to reduce model size by upwards of 90% without compromising precision. This technology is viewed as particularly vital for mobile processors, where hardware resources and power consumption are strictly limited.

Chae Myung-soo, CEO of Nota AI, stated that this partnership builds on the success of their previous collaboration on the Exynos 2400. He emphasized that Nota AI’s technology has demonstrated tangible value when paired with Samsung’s hardware.

"We aim to establish our technology as a core component in the era of on-device AI by expanding partnerships globally and commercializing our optimization solutions," Chae said.

With the Exynos 2600, Samsung is signaling a clear directive to make generative AI a foundational capability of its mobile chips. By leveraging a software ecosystem and partners like Nota AI rather than relying solely on raw hardware power, Samsung is laying the groundwork for the next generation of Galaxy smartphones, where AI is central to the user experience.
