Samsung has just released a new software update for the Galaxy A53 5G, adding the June 2025 security patch to fix a series of existing security vulnerabilities.

Previously, in May, the Galaxy A53 5G received the One UI 7.0 update based on Android 15, bringing many notable new features along with the May security patch. Now, the next update has been rolled out, focusing on improving the stability and safety of the device with the latest security patch from Google and Samsung.

The update is currently rolling out to the international and European variants of the Galaxy A53 5G with model numbers SM-A536B and SM-A536E, respectively. The new software version numbers are A536BXXSFFYEA and A536EXXSFFYEA. Users can check and download by going to Settings > Software update > Download and install, or manually download from the firmware library and install via the Odin tool.

The Galaxy A53 5G is still on the list of eligible devices to upgrade to One UI 8 based on Android 16. Samsung is currently testing this operating system on the Galaxy S25 series, and when it is completed, the stable update will be released to eligible devices one by one. It is expected that high-end models will be prioritized first, so A53 5G users may have to wait a little longer to experience the new version.
