Samsung has officially expanded the One UI 8 Beta program to the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6, alongside the Galaxy S24 series. This move comes as the company previously announced, marking the next step in its plan to bring the Android 16 beta to more devices in the near future, including the Galaxy S23, Fold 5, Flip 5, and many other models.

Currently, Fold 6 and Flip 6 users in Korea can register to participate via the Samsung Members app, with the update code ZYH4. Other markets such as India, the US, and the UK are expected to be added soon. After registering, users just need to go to Settings > Software update > Download and install to upgrade their device to One UI 8 Beta.

Based on Android 16, the update brings many notable improvements, such as enhanced Galaxy AI features, more optimized multitasking for large screens, and a custom interface specifically for foldable devices. In addition, users can expect smoother performance, smoother animations, and optimizations to improve battery life.

If the testing phase goes smoothly and there are no serious errors, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 may receive the stable version of One UI 8 as early as October this year. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S25 series is expected to receive the stable update earlier, in September, after having gone through four betas since the end of June.
