After months of rigorous testing, Samsung’s highly anticipated One UI 8.5 is on the verge of its official release. According to recent industry leaks and customer support channels, the tech giant is preparing to roll out the stable version of the update to the Galaxy S25 series starting April 30, 2026, initially launching in South Korea before a wider global expansion.

For Galaxy S25 owners, this major update marks the culmination of a nearly five-month beta phase that encompassed 10 separate builds since last December. Following the South Korean debut, key markets—including the United States—are expected to receive the update shortly after, with a projected rollout date around May 4, 2026.

As the deployment commences, Samsung is heavily tipped to publish an official release roadmap on the Samsung Community forums, allowing users to accurately track the timeline for their specific hardware.

Following the flagship S25 lineup, a robust roster of Galaxy devices is queued up for the One UI 8.5 treatment. This includes next-gen foldables like the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Z Flip 7, and the newly introduced Z TriFold, alongside the S24 series, S24 FE, Z Fold 6, Z Flip 6, A56, A36, as well as the Tab S11 and Tab S11 Ultra. For these devices, the rollout is projected to hit between mid-to-late May 2026, varying slightly by region.

Under the hood, One UI 8.5 promises a slew of notable upgrades. Users can expect a more refined interface, significantly smoother performance optimizations, and the next evolution of Galaxy AI. Furthermore, Samsung has bolstered cross-device connectivity, aiming to deliver a vastly more seamless ecosystem experience across all Galaxy products.
