Samsung has officially introduced One UI 8 – the latest software version built on Android 16. The new interface brings smarter multitasking, upgraded AI, and a more refined customization experience. Currently, One UI 8 is available in beta for the Galaxy S25 series and is also pre-installed on the newly launched Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, and Flip 7 FE. However, some upcoming Galaxy devices may still be sold with One UI 7.

A new leak on the X platform reveals that a series of unreleased Galaxy devices, including the Galaxy A07, Galaxy M07, Galaxy F07, Galaxy A17, and Galaxy Tab S10 Lite, will still run One UI 7 based on Android 15 out of the box. These are all mid-range or low-cost devices, so this is not too surprising.

However, some models may not officially hit the shelves for a few months, while One UI 8 will be widely released soon. Samsung is expected to start rolling out the One UI 8 update to existing devices from early August, starting with the Galaxy S25 series. The remaining eligible devices will be updated gradually and could be completed by the end of October.

If the leak is accurate, some newly launched devices will have to use the old software version from the start. This is not ideal, and we hope Samsung will adjust so that devices released from August 2025 onwards will all have One UI 8 pre-installed.

According to the source, the Galaxy S25 FE and the Galaxy Tab S11 series will have One UI 8 pre-installed right away. These are high-end devices, expected to launch in September or October. This year, Samsung may only introduce the standard Tab S11 and Tab S11 Ultra, instead of launching the Plus version like last year.
