Samsung has just announced the details of the July 2025 security update for Galaxy devices. This update includes 40 security patches from Samsung, Google, and partners. The rollout will begin in the next few days for eligible devices.

According to Samsung, the July patch contains 21 critical bugs in the Android operating system and another particularly serious vulnerability. In addition, a security bug related to Samsung's Exynos chip has also been addressed, helping to increase the security of devices using the company's own processors.

Samsung also added 17 items in the SVEs group, which are security bugs that only appear on Galaxy devices such as phones, tablets, and smartwatches. One of the serious bugs patched in this batch is related to KnoxVault, which allows attackers with high privileges on the device to write data to the wrong location in memory.

Additionally, the patches address a number of issues affecting Galaxy Watches, including SystemUI, Framework, and Samsung Account. These bugs could previously be exploited to shut down the device, reset the configuration, or access the user's phone number.

On Galaxy tablet models, Samsung fixed a moderate bug that allowed a secondary user to access the device owner's saved Wi-Fi password. Other security flaws were also patched in components such as Bluetooth, LeAudioService, and the SOS emergency call feature.

Samsung has already begun testing this update on select devices and will release it to the public soon. Users can check in Settings > Software update > Download and install.
