Samsung has officially released the latest Home Up module for One UI 8.5, giving Galaxy S25 beta testers a lot more granular control over their devices. The update (version v17.5.00.18) is rolling out now and should be available to all testers very soon.
In this release, Home Up brings fresh tweaks to Home Screen widgets. Users can now adjust the size of the content inside the widget itself and disable background blur for a cleaner, crisper look. However, Samsung notes that support might vary depending on the specific widget.
The Edge Panels have also been streamlined. Instead of separate tabs, there is now a unified dashboard for apps, tasks, and contacts. You can even pin specific tasks or contacts directly to the app panel for quicker access. For those rocking a Galaxy Z Fold, the update allows you to customize the number of favorite apps on the cover screen, making life easier when the phone is closed.
Navigation also gets a boost. Home Up now includes a toggle to enable or disable the bottom-edge swipe gesture for switching between recent apps. Additionally, the Share Manager is much smarter—you can now hide specific apps or shortcuts from the sharing menu to keep things clutter-free.
Beyond new features, Samsung has squashed some bugs. The annoying layout alignment issues in DIY Home mode are gone, and a glitch that messed up widgets after restoring from a backup has been fixed.
Overall, this Home Up update gives users much better command over the One UI 8.5 interface. You can grab the latest version right now from the Galaxy Store.
