Samsung Rolls Out January 2026 Security Patch for Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6

Samsung has kicked off the rollout of its January 2026 security update for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6. This latest patch focuses on addressing 55 specific vulnerabilities, aiming to bolster the security and stability of the tech giant's premium foldable lineup.

The update is currently making its debut in South Korea. For the Galaxy Z Flip 6, the package weighs in at approximately 390 MB and carries the firmware version F741NKSS2CZA1. If history is any indication, Samsung is expected to expand the rollout to global markets within the coming days.

Users can check for the update manually by navigating to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install. While this release doesn't bring new features, routine security patches are critical for safeguarding user data and ensuring long-term device performance.

In the background, Samsung continues to test One UI 8.5, based on Android 16 QPR2. Both the Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 are slated to receive this major upgrade, which promises a refined interface and various user experience enhancements upon its official release.
