After releasing the stable One UI 8 Watch version for the Galaxy Watch Ultra last month, Samsung continues to expand testing to other watch models. Recently, the Galaxy Watch 6 and Galaxy Watch 6 Classic have officially joined the One UI 8 Watch Beta program in Korea, initially applying to the Bluetooth version.

This test update is based on Wear OS 6 and brings a series of notable changes. Users will have an additional Now Bar, many new watch faces, a redesigned app launcher with more options, enhanced pinch gestures, new charging effects, the ability to add multiple widgets in tiles, Bedtime Guidance, mindfulness support tools, and a smart watch face suggestion feature.

To participate in the program, you need to install the latest version of the Samsung Members app, log in with the same Samsung account you are using on the Galaxy Watch 6, then look for the One UI 8 Watch Beta notification. After successfully registering, the installation can be done via the Galaxy Wearable app by going to Watch Settings > Watch Software Update > Download and Install. Since this is a beta version, users may encounter errors and some performance issues during use.

The fact that the beta program has just started means that the stable One UI 8 Watch version for the Galaxy Watch 6 may arrive later than expected. However, in return, users will soon experience new improvements before the official release.
