One UI 8 is already available on the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7, but the rollout is still cautious for the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S24 series. Samsung has confirmed that the One UI 8 stable update for the Galaxy S25 series will arrive in September, which coincides with the rumored announcement of the Galaxy S25 FE. Notably, the FE model could launch with One UI 8 right from the start, even earlier than the current flagships.
According to leakster Akhilesh Kumar (1,2), Samsung has already pushed One UI 8 Beta builds for both the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S24 to the server. This suggests that the company may push another beta for the Galaxy S25 before releasing the stable version, while also finalizing the details to prepare for beta 2 for the Galaxy S24. This is a familiar process, as Samsung often tests multiple firmware versions before officially launching.
The source also revealed the new software code: S9*8BXXU4ZYHB for the Galaxy S24 is being tested globally, while S938NKSU5ZYHB for the Galaxy S25 is only deployed in Korea for now. These builds are considered an important stepping stone before users receive the official update.
With this progress, the biggest expectation is that Samsung will release on time, helping Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S25 users soon experience the full set of AI features, performance optimization, and security improvements that One UI 8 brings.
