It's been a few days since Samsung released the first One UI 8 Beta for the Galaxy S25 series. During that time, the company has only been testing different builds internally and hasn't released the next update yet. However, according to a reliable source, the second beta could be released as early as next week.
Leaker Tarun Vats has said that One UI 8 Beta 2 will most likely start rolling out next week. This is in line with previous rumors, although many expected the update to arrive in the first week of June. We're now halfway through the first week, and Samsung could have a surprise in store in the coming days.
Although the One UI 8 beta forum has been opened for various devices, including the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S23, not many models have actually received the update yet. According to Tarun Vats' previous prediction, the Galaxy S24 will receive the beta at the end of June, and then expand to other models.
In the meantime, users can hope that One UI 8 Beta 2 will soon appear for the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra. Notably, the Galaxy S25 Edge has not been mentioned in the beta roadmap, and it is unclear whether this model will participate in the testing program. However, the possibility of the device being added at a later stage is entirely possible.
The One UI 8 Beta 2 is said to fix some important issues of the first beta, including the bug in resizing widgets and aligning the app drawer. In addition, Samsung will also introduce a new version of One UI Home with smoother animations. The back prediction feature has been temporarily removed in this update. Many expect Samsung to expand the beta program to more regions with the next update.
