If you often work on a laptop or Windows PC and want to quickly send a long text to your Android phone, the current popular way is to send an email or use a messaging app. The good news is that Microsoft is preparing to bring a new feature to Windows 11 called Access PC’s Clipboard, allowing you to paste copied content directly from your computer to your Galaxy phone.
According to WindowsLatest, this feature is being tested on the dev version of Windows 11 with the option “Allow this device to access content that I copy on this PC”. To use it, you just need to install the Link to Windows application on your Galaxy phone, then activate it in the Phone Link application on your laptop. The mandatory condition is that both devices must be logged in to the same Microsoft account.
When copying text on a Windows 11 PC, the content will immediately appear in the clipboard of the keyboard on your Galaxy phone. This feature has been tested with both Gboard and Samsung Keyboard, and both work smoothly. This will be an extremely useful solution for quickly sharing complex passwords, codes, or long texts without manual operations.
Previously, Link to Windows had a Cross-Device Copy and Paste feature, allowing two-way clipboard synchronization between PC and phone. However, Access PC's Clipboard only allows one-way synchronization from PC to phone. This is especially convenient if you want to access your PC clipboard on your smartphone without having the content on your phone appear on your computer.
Currently, this feature is only available on the dev version of Windows 11, but is expected to be released to the stable version in the next few weeks. For Galaxy users running Windows 11, this will definitely be an upgrade that makes copying and pasting text between two devices simpler and more seamless.
