After an early release in South Korea, Samsung is now expanding the rollout of its March 2026 security update for the Galaxy S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra to multiple countries, including India.
Weighing in at roughly 480MB, the update—carrying firmware version S91xBXXS9EZC1—focuses heavily on bolstering system security. According to Samsung, this patch addresses 65 security vulnerabilities, ensuring a safer everyday experience for users.
Galaxy S23 owners can check for the update by navigating to Settings > Software update > Download and install. A quick device restart will be required to complete the installation process.
Beyond routine security patches, Samsung is gearing up for a more substantial update for the S23 lineup with One UI 8.5, based on Android 16 QPR2. This upcoming release is expected to introduce a refreshed interface alongside new features, further extending the software lifecycle of the devices.
Meanwhile, the tech giant has already begun development on One UI 9, slated to debut alongside its next generation of foldables. Following its official introduction, a beta program is expected to open up before the stable update makes its way to eligible devices, including the Galaxy S23 series.
