Samsung has put a lot of emphasis on the translation capabilities of Galaxy AI. It seems that the company is developing a new translation feature that takes advantage of both screens of the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6.

On Pixel Food launched last year, Google introduced a new feature called “Translator Mode,” which allows users to translate text and voice using both the main screen and the external screen. In other words, users can have a multilingual two-way conversation without having to rotate the phone. This is such a good idea that Samsung wants to copy it.
According to leaked marketing documents posted by @evleaks, Samsung will update the Translator Assistant, which was introduced with the Galaxy S24 series. The new version opens up the possibility of two-way chat using both the main and outer screens of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 to show translations to both parties.
Samsung explains the new capability as follows:
"Are you traveling and want to talk to locals? Whether you want to express yourself, listen to an international conference in a foreign language, or understand your tour guide: the interpreter assistant translates in real-time."
Samsung's documents and notes show that the new capability only works in Flex Mode as well as Chat Mode. By comparison, the Pixel Fold only requires users to unfold the phone.
