Samsung is rolling out the welcome mat for its older flagships, expanding the exclusive AI features of the Galaxy S26 to the Galaxy S25 and S24 series. Thanks to the latest One UI 8.5 Beta updates, users of these older devices are finally getting a taste of Samsung's newest tech.
When the Galaxy S26 launched with Android 16 and One UI 8.5, it boasted a suite of advanced AI tools designed to elevate the everyday user experience. Initially, these perks were locked behind the newest hardware. However, recent beta drops—specifically the 10th beta for the S25 and the 3rd beta for the S24—have officially bridged the gap.
The standout addition is undoubtedly Call Screening. Acting as a virtual personal secretary, the system automatically answers calls on your behalf. The AI asks for the caller's information and their reason for calling, providing a real-time text transcript on your screen. If it's a conversation you want to take, you can jump in at any moment.
Photography enthusiasts will also appreciate the supercharged Photo Assist. The tool now supports natural language editing, meaning you can simply type out what you want changed. Need to magically restore a missing detail in a shot? Just describe it to the AI, completely bypassing complex manual edits.
For the creatively inclined, Creative Studio transforms simple sketches or text prompts into polished visual content. Whether you're designing custom stickers, wallpapers, or personalized artwork, the tool is easily accessible right from the Edge Panel.
Beyond AI, the update quietly introduces a native document scanner directly within the camera app, a highly requested tweak for daily productivity.
The AI love isn't limited to the Galaxy S series, either. Samsung's latest foldables—including the Galaxy Z Flip 7, Flip 6, Fold 6, and Fold 7—are also picking up these features in their recent One UI 8.5 Beta builds. It's a clear signal that Samsung is hitting the gas on democratizing Galaxy AI across its broader device ecosystem.
