Samsung has officially released the stable One UI 8.0 (Android 16) version for the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5, earlier than the previously announced schedule.
According to the deployment plan in Korea, the foldable smartphone duo launched in 2023 was expected to receive the update only in October. However, Samsung has released it earlier, initially for users who participated in the beta program. The update has a capacity of about 423MB, with software code F946NKSU5FYI8, confirmed through the Samsung community forum.

One UI 8 brings a more modern, refined interface with a series of new features, improving the user experience from system operations to core applications. Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 users can check and install the update by going to Settings > Software update > Download and install.
Samsung is planning to expand One UI 8 to the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 in Brazil in October and India in November. However, with the company deploying early in Korea, it is likely that users in other regions will also be upgraded soon in the near future.
