Samsung is accelerating the rollout of the November 2025 security patch, and the latest names to be updated are the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4. The patch is currently available in Korea and will soon expand to many other markets.
Over the past week, Samsung has significantly accelerated the rollout of the November patch. After updating dozens of devices, the company continues to add the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4 to the list. Thus, all Samsung flagships and foldable devices launched from 2022 to now have received the November patch.
The update is released as an OTA, so users can receive automatic notifications when the update package is ready. You can also proactively check by going to Settings > Software update > Download and install.
The Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4 will launch in mid-2022 with the Android 12L platform. They have now stopped receiving major OS upgrades and are running One UI 8. These two models will not be upgraded to Android 17 or One UI 9 next year. However, Samsung is expected to still bring One UI 8.5 – a minor update expected to launch with the Galaxy S26 series, with many notable improvements.
Despite the end of the OS upgrade journey, the Z Flip 4 and Z Fold 4 will continue to receive security updates until mid-2027. The November patch carries the firmware code IYK3, integrating more than 40 security fixes, including Android patches from Google and Samsung's own security upgrades.
