Samsung has started rolling out the stable One UI 8 Watch update for the Galaxy Watch 6 series after the beta program ended. The update is currently only available in South Korea, and the expansion to other markets will take more time.

According to Alfatürk on X, Galaxy Watch 6 and Galaxy Watch 6 Classic users in South Korea can now download the One UI 8 Watch update with code R960XXU1CYK2. Just open the Galaxy Wearable app, go to Watch settings, select Watch software update, then click Download and install to update immediately.

One UI 8 Watch was first launched on the Galaxy Watch 8 and Galaxy Watch 2025, then continued to be brought to the Galaxy Watch 7. Now, it's the Galaxy Watch 6's turn to receive this major upgrade with a series of new features such as smart control gestures, new charging effects, Now Bar, new watch faces, and many other intuitive improvements.

The update also brings a refreshed set of icons, improved widgets, and a more intuitive interface. A grid-style app drawer has also been added alongside the traditional list, making it faster to operate. Message notifications are grouped and can be deleted with a double-pinch gesture, and also support scrolling, music controls, and photo viewing.

Samsung Health has also been upgraded with Bedtime Guidance for better sleep tracking, a smarter Running Coach, and added mindfulness-related features. The update promises to bring a new, more convenient, and seamless experience to Galaxy Watch 6 users in Korea before expanding globally.
