Samsung is rapidly closing gaps in its One UI 8.5 development roadmap. With nearly every eligible high-end device already in the testing phase, the tech giant has turned its attention to the budget segment. The latest internal builds have now been spotted for the Galaxy M06, M33, and F06, signaling a wider rollout is on the horizon.
Specifically, the Galaxy M06 surfaced on Samsung’s test servers in India carrying firmware version M066BXXU4CZA7. This indicates that development based on Android 16 QPR2 is officially underway for this entry-level handset, though a public release likely remains some time away.
Meanwhile, the F-series counterpart, the Galaxy F06, was uncovered with a similar One UI 8.5 test build (firmware E066BXXU4CZA7) on servers in both India and Sri Lanka.
Veteran devices are not being left behind, either. The Galaxy M33 was logged running a test build labeled M336KKSUDHZB1 on Korean servers. However, owners should temper their expectations: One UI 8.5 is poised to be the final major feature update for the M33. Following this release, the device will likely shift to a security-patch-only schedule, marking the end of the road for future Android OS upgrades.
What to Expect from One UI 8.5 One UI 8.5 is expected to deliver refined visual elements, enhanced UI fluidity, and new feature sets across the Galaxy ecosystem. The stable version is slated to debut alongside the Galaxy S26 series later this month. A broader rollout to older flagships (starting with the S25 series) will follow shortly after, while mid-range and budget models will likely have to wait until mid-April or early May.
If your device is currently running One UI 8, it is almost certainly eligible for version 8.5. We will continue to monitor the servers and provide updates as the official roadmap unfolds.
