Samsung has officially released its June 2026 software update for the Galaxy A56 and A55. Currently rolling out to users in South Korea, the patch is expected to expand to global markets in the coming days. This release comes hot on the heels of the recent One UI 8.5 rollout for the premium mid-range duo.

Unlike major feature-heavy updates, this new firmware focuses strictly on bolstering system security and stability rather than introducing new tools. According to the release notes, the June patch addresses over 40 security vulnerabilities affecting the broader Android OS and specific Galaxy components, ensuring better protection against potential cyber threats.

Owners of the Galaxy A56 and A55 have already enjoyed a wave of enhancements from last month’s One UI 8.5 update. Looking ahead, both devices are high on the priority list for the One UI 9 (Android 17) upgrade, slated for an October release, with early testing data already surfacing on Samsung's servers.

For the South Korean market, the update arrives with firmware version A566SKSS7CZF2 for the A56 and A556SKSS8DZF2 for the A55. These build numbers will likely vary depending on the region and local carriers—including Vietnam—as the rollout continues.

Users can manually check for the update by navigating to Settings > Software update > Download and install. The June security patch is also currently making its way to Samsung’s flagship models and will continue to blanket the rest of its mobile portfolio in the coming weeks.
