Samsung continues to expand the deployment of the August 2025 security patch for Galaxy devices, and recently, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 duo have officially been included in the list. This update first appeared in Korea, with a capacity of about 384MB, before being widely released in many other markets in the near future.

According to information from user @ya_sking12767, the software version for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 is codenamed F936NKSS6HYGB, while the Galaxy Z Flip 4 is codenamed F721NKSS6HYGB. Users in Korea can proactively check by accessing Settings > Software update > Download and install. Although it does not add new features, this patch plays a key role in enhancing the security of the device.

Samsung said the August 2025 update fixes more than 47 security vulnerabilities, including 18 separate issues on Galaxy devices, the rest related to the Android platform. Timely patching of these vulnerabilities helps maintain stability and safety for users during use.

In addition to regular security patches, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4 are still on the list of supported four major operating system upgrades. This means both will be upgraded to Android 16 with One UI 8 in the near future, and continue to receive an additional year of security updates after that to ensure a long-term experience.
