Samsung has started rolling out the stable One UI 8 update based on Android 16 for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6, earlier than expected. The first release is for users participating in the Beta program in Korea, marking the end of the testing phase.

The new update carries the code CYI7 for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and CYI6 for the Galaxy Z Flip 6. For those running the Beta version, this patch will convert the software from Beta to official, making the system more stable and smoother. The One UI 8 Beta program for this foldable phone duo was deployed by Samsung from mid-August 2025 and took only about six weeks to complete.

One UI 8 comes with many notable features. In particular, Best Face is a new camera tool that uses AI to edit group photos, allowing you to choose the best face after taking a photo and edit it directly in the Gallery app. The Wallpapers and Styles section has also been upgraded with the ability to analyze photos in the Gallery, suggesting suitable photos to use as the lock screen.

In addition, the adaptive clock style on the lock screen is also a highlight. The clock font will change flexibly according to the wallpaper, creating a unique and more eye-catching personalized interface.

The update is currently being released to Beta users first, then it will be expanded to all users. You can check and download by going to Settings > Software update > Download and install.
