Samsung is accelerating the completion of the One UI 8 Watch operating system, as the Galaxy Watch 6 and Galaxy Watch 6 Classic have just continued to receive new beta updates. Although the progress of the rollout is slower than that of smartphones, the signs show that a stable version is very close.
Users participating in the One UI 8 Watch Beta program on the Galaxy Watch 6 and Watch 6 Classic can now download the fifth beta with the code ZYK2, released just a week after the previous beta.
According to the update notes, this new version fixes the error of displaying the wrong time when Daylight Saving Time mode is turned on and improves overall performance. To download, users just need to open the Galaxy Wearable app, select Watch settings > Watch software update > Download and install.
Samsung has yet to announce an official release date for One UI 8 Watch for the Galaxy Watch 6, but according to insiders, the stable version could be released as early as November, marking the final step before the new operating system is widely available.
