Samsung continues its steady software update schedule with the July Android security patch for the Galaxy A15, the budget phone in its current lineup.

The Galaxy A15 is starting to receive the update in select markets in Latin America, including Brazil. The update comes with firmware version A155MUBS7CYF1, and the size may vary depending on the device.
The July update package brings several important security patches to the Android operating system and Samsung's system. Specifically, the patch addresses a serious security vulnerability and dozens of high-severity issues affecting components such as Knox, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi passwords, and the Galaxy Watch interface.
Samsung is expected to expand the update to more regions in the near future. Galaxy A15 users can manually check for it in Settings, then select Software update and tap Download and install. Since the update is rolling out in batches, some devices may receive it later.
Notably, the Galaxy A15 is on the list of devices that will be updated to One UI 8, based on Android 16. Samsung is currently testing the new OS internally and is expected to start rolling it out to the public in August. However, Galaxy A15 users may have to wait a little longer to receive the official update before the end of 2025.
