Earlier this week, Samsung rolled out the fourth One UI 8.5 beta for the Galaxy S25. While many users assumed this would be the final test build before the official release, fresh reports suggest the beta program is far from over—and another update could be on the horizon.

Samsung kicked off the One UI 8.5 beta program in early December, initially maintaining a steady two-week gap between Beta 2 and Beta 3. However, the pace slowed significantly with Beta 4, which arrived nearly a month later. This timeline has led to speculation that the tech giant is taking extra time to polish the software ahead of the next-generation flagship launch on February 25, 2026.

With the Galaxy S26 series expected to debut with One UI 8.5 out of the box, stability is paramount. Consequently, owners of current devices may face a slightly longer wait for the stable update as Samsung works to ensure the operating system is rock-solid.

According to tipster Tarun Vats, Samsung has recently been spotted testing a new beta firmware build (version ZZB5) for the Galaxy S25. This discovery strongly indicates that the testing phase hasn't concluded yet, making the arrival of a fifth beta highly likely in the coming days.

As of now, there is no official confirmation regarding the expansion of the One UI 8.5 beta to other devices. While whispers in the industry suggest a limited rollout could extend to the Galaxy S24, Galaxy Z Fold 7, and Flip 7, concrete evidence remains scarce.

It remains unclear what specific changes the next beta will bring. However, it is safe to assume Samsung will continue to focus on system stability, interface refinements, and polishing the user experience, while potentially introducing select features destined for the Galaxy S26.
