Samsung continues to expand its software upgrade roadmap as the Galaxy Tab S10 Lite – a mid-range tablet launched earlier this year – has just officially been updated with One UI 8.0 based on Android 16. This is the device's first major operating system update, opening the way for the next 6 Android versions that Samsung has committed to supporting in the future.

According to the announcement on the Samsung Members app in Korea, Galaxy Tab S10 Lite users have started receiving the One UI 8.0 update with the September 2025 security patch. This update is expected to be rolled out in other markets within the next one to two weeks.

To check and update, users just need to go to Settings > Software update > Download and install. After downloading, tap Install now to start the upgrade process – the device will automatically restart and complete in just a few minutes.

In terms of features, One UI 8 brings a series of changes in both interface and experience. Samsung Internet browser, Quick Share, and Weather application have all been redesigned to be more modern and intuitive. The Secure Folder feature has enhanced security, while Samsung DeX improves performance, better supporting multitasking. The Modes and Routines application has also been expanded with many smart actions, helping users automate daily routines more easily.
