After releasing the stable One UI 8 for the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 FE, and Galaxy S25 in recent weeks, Samsung has now extended the update to the Galaxy S23. Users in South Korea can now download and install it, while other markets are expected to receive it in the coming days.
The One UI 8.0 (Android 16) update is now available for the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra with the codename S91xNKSU6EYI7. For those who participated in the beta program, the size is only about 450MB, while the full update can be up to 3GB. Users in South Korea can check by going to Settings > Software update > Download and install, then select Install now to complete.

One UI 8.0 comes with a series of notable upgrades. Secure Folder is more secure, Samsung DeX is refreshed based on Android 16's Desktop Mode, while Samsung Internet and Quick Share browsers have also been redesigned.
In addition, Alarm, Calendar, and Reminders have added advanced management features. Modes and Automations have received many new actions and conditions. The Camera app has added quick access gestures, Bluetooth Auracast better supports audio sharing, and the Weather app has an intuitive interface with more vivid graphic effects.
With these upgrades, One UI 8.0 promises to bring a smoother and more modern experience to Galaxy S23 users globally in the near future.
