Samsung has officially rolled out its third wave of the One UI 8.5 update, bringing the highly anticipated operating system to its mid-range smartphone lineup. The Galaxy A56 is the first device in this tier to receive the official update in South Korea.
Earlier this month, the South Korean tech giant kicked off its software upgrade campaign, prioritizing its latest foldables and older flagship models. The swift arrival of One UI 8.5 on the Galaxy A56 signals Samsung’s aggressive push to accelerate software releases for its more affordable devices. The new firmware, bearing the build number CZDR, is expected to roll out to international markets in the coming days. According to the company's roadmap, popular models like the Galaxy A55, A36, and A35 are next in line.
For mid-range users, the One UI 8.5 update delivers a refreshed interface featuring fluid animations and deep customization options for the Quick Panel. The system also introduces new AI-driven capabilities, refined navigation elements, and optimized multitasking. Furthermore, photo editing and calling tools have seen significant upgrades, alongside improved seamless connectivity between devices—most notably through the Quick Share feature.
While some heavy-duty AI features remain exclusive to premium Galaxy models, mid-range users will still benefit from major enhancements in overall system fluidity and security. Galaxy users in Vietnam can manually check for the update in the coming days by navigating to Settings > Software update and tapping 'Download and install'.
