Multiple reputable sources on X said that Samsung will launch the One UI 8.5 Beta program on December 8 after the November rollout was delayed due to the Galaxy S26 launch schedule being adjusted.
According to the leak, the first phase of the One UI 8.5 Beta will be available to users in the US, UK, South Korea, and Germany. The second phase is expected to take place on December 22, when Samsung expands the program to India and Poland and releases a second beta update to the first markets.
Leaker Tarun Vats said that Samsung could release at least three betas, with the third expected to appear in the first week of January. However, as usual, all timelines are still subject to change depending on the actual testing process.
Last month, the One UI 8.5 firmware for the Galaxy S25 Ultra appeared online, and recently, another version that is said to be the first user beta has been revealed. Some One UI 8.5 firmware for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 has also been leaked, but the official list of participating devices has not been confirmed by Samsung.
As December 8th approaches, the community is expected to have more information about Samsung's rollout plans soon. With multiple sources matching and firmware being discovered, it seems that the One UI 8.5 Beta is very close.
