Samsung has just released One UI 8 Beta 3 for the Galaxy S24 series, just two weeks after Beta 2. The new update, codenamed ZY13, focuses on bug fixes, stability improvements, and user experience refinements. The release is currently available in South Korea and will soon expand to India, the UK, and the US.

According to the official release notes, One UI 8 Beta 3 fixes a series of issues that have been annoying users:

  • Fixed the issue where the clock position on the lock screen slides down.
  • Fixed the issue where the Stretched font cannot be applied.
  • Fixed the issue where the text on the status bar, navigation bar, and PIN entry screen appears thinner than usual.
  • Fixed the issue where the quick access icons on the lock screen sometimes disappear when used.

In addition to the specific patches, Samsung also optimized the system for a more stable lock screen, consistent fonts, and smoother overall performance. These small tweaks make the day-to-day experience more seamless, especially when it comes to intuitive operations.

One UI 8, based on Android 16, is getting closer to its stable release. Samsung plans to release the official version to beta users this month, before making it more widely available. Users can check for the update by going to Settings > Software update > Download and install.
