Samsung is accelerating the One UI 8 (Android 16) rollout for its mid-range devices, adding the Galaxy M33, Galaxy M34, and Galaxy M35 to the list of latest models to be upgraded.
In India, Galaxy M35 users are receiving the update with firmware codename EYI8, while Galaxy M34 has codename CYI8. In parallel, the Galaxy M33 has also started receiving the update in South Korea with version M336KKSUBGYI4. All of these are large update packages, weighing in at over 2.3GB and integrating the September 2025 security patch.
One UI 8 brings a series of drastic changes to the interface and features. The overall interface has been refreshed with smoother effects, while many core applications, such as Calendar, Gallery, Samsung Internet, Samsung Notes, DeX, and Weather, have been upgraded in both design and performance. In addition, the update also adds many AI improvements, increases multitasking capabilities, improves the camera experience, and upgrades Now Bar and Now Brief - two core features of Galaxy AI.
Users can check and download the update by going to Settings > Software update > Download and install. After downloading, select Install now to complete the upgrade process.
According to the roadmap, Samsung will continue to expand One UI 8 to other regions in the near future. At the same time, the company is also completing One UI 8.5, the next update expected to be publicly released in early 2026, bringing a more refined interface and deeper AI integration. All three Galaxy M33, M34, and M35 models are on the list of eligible models to receive this update.
