Samsung has just released the first software update in 2025 for the Galaxy Watch 6 series. The new update aims to fix bugs and improve the performance of the previous software, providing a more stable experience for users.

Currently, the update is being rolled out to the Galaxy Watch 6 and Galaxy Watch 6 Classic in some countries, with the software version code R940XXU1BXL2. Unfortunately, this update does not include a new security patch. Both devices in the Galaxy Watch 6 series have been using the security patch since October 2024. The most notable change noted is improved system stability.

Some users also said that the stress level measurement screen interface on the Galaxy Watch 6 has been redesigned. Instead of simply displaying stress levels in a pie chart, the box now provides information in descriptive language, making it more intuitive to track mental health.

Previously, the Galaxy Watch 6 series received the One UI 6 Watch update based on Wear OS 5, introducing many new features such as Energy Points, improved sleep analysis, a refreshed user interface, new fonts, convenient control gestures, and a redesigned quick panel. This update also adds the ability to manage app notifications directly on the watch and provides new notification cards, improving the user experience.
