Samsung Galaxy S21 FE gets March 2025 security update

Samsung has just released the March 2025 security update for the Galaxy S21 FE in the US market, including both the unlocked and unlocked international versions. Previously, this update was released for the international variants running Exynos and Snapdragon chips.

This update mainly focuses on improving security, with the March 2025 patch fixing 58 vulnerabilities discovered in previous software versions. Specifically, the firmware for the locked Galaxy S21 FE has the code G990USQSFGYC1, while the unlocked version comes with version G990U1UESFGYC1. The update does not add any new features but only focuses on improving stability and protecting users.

Galaxy S21 FE users in the US can check and install the new update by going to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Alternatively, if you want to update it manually, you can also download the appropriate firmware file from Samsung's database and use the Odin tool on your Windows PC to install it.

The Galaxy S21 FE launched in early 2022 with Android 12 and received the Android 13 update later that year, followed by Android 14 in 2023. Android 15 is not available for the device yet, but the update is expected to roll out in the coming months.
