Samsung is slowly finalizing its One UI 8 roadmap, and recently, the Galaxy M44 has officially joined the list of updated devices. In Korea, this model is also known as Jump 3, and the global rollout is expected to begin in the next few days.
According to @Mohammed_K_2010 on X, the Android 16 update for the Galaxy M44/Jump 3 carries the firmware code M446KKSU6EYJ3 (the code may vary depending on the region). The upgrade brings many tweaks to the interface, performance, and system stability, making One UI 8 smoother and more unified. Users will notice more natural transition effects, better privacy controls, and small improvements in system applications.
Despite not including the Galaxy AI features, One UI 8 still brings a better experience to the M series. Users can check for the update by going to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Since this is a large OS update, the download size is quite large, and the device will need to be restarted after the installation is complete.
With this release, Samsung is almost at the end of its One UI 8 rollout plan, which started with the Galaxy S25 series in mid-September and has now expanded to dozens of devices, including mid-range models. It is likely that all devices on the supported list will receive the update before the end of this month.
This is the third OS upgrade for the Galaxy M44 since its launch with Android 13. Next year, the device can continue to be upgraded to Android 17 with One UI 9, after going through One UI 8.5 - a version expected to still be based on Android 16 but with more optimized features. One UI 8.5 will launch with the Galaxy S26 series in February 2026, promising to bring a more complete experience to Galaxy users.
