While many users are expecting a stable One UI 8 update to come to the Galaxy S25 series this month, Samsung has chosen a different path. Instead of ending the testing phase, the Korean technology company decided to expand the beta program to many new devices.
According to Samsung's official announcement, the Galaxy S24, Z Flip 6, and Z Fold 6 trio will start receiving One UI 8 Beta as soon as next week, expected from August 11. The first supported markets include Korea, the US, the UK, and India. Notably, Germany and Poland are no longer on the list this time.
If you are using one of the above devices, just open the Samsung Members app, log in with the Samsung account associated with the device, and tap on the One UI 8 Beta banner to register to participate. Then, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install to receive the beta update.
Samsung also plans to expand testing to more devices in the near future, including mid-range models. Previously, the Galaxy S25 series received four consecutive beta updates, and the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Flip 7, and Flip 7 FE trio also launched with One UI 8 pre-installed.
If everything goes according to plan, the stable version of One UI 8 will start rolling out from September, with the Galaxy S25 series being the first to receive the update.
