While Samsung’s next generation of foldable phones is still weeks away from its official launch, a prominent accessory brand has already jumped the gun. Thinborne recently shared images of its ultra-thin protective cases, custom-measured for the Galaxy Z Flip 8, Z Fold 8 Wide, and Fold 8 Ultra—devices expected to hit store shelves in early August.

Although the images posted on X lack detailed technical specifications, the case designs provide a clear outline of the new models' dimensions. In truth, the overall footprint of this trio won't come as a shock to tech enthusiasts, as detailed renders have heavily leaked in recent months.

According to those leaks, the Galaxy Z Flip 8 and Fold 8 Ultra will not feature major design overhauls. Instead, their exterior closely mirrors their predecessors, the Flip 7 and Fold 7. Samsung appears to be focusing on minor refinements rather than a ground-up redesign. Notably, the company is adding the "Ultra" moniker to the Fold lineup this year, a strategic move to better define the device's premium tier.

However, the accessory maker did highlight a slight tweak in the rear camera cutout of the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra. While the lens arrangement looks familiar, the modified protective bezel suggests Samsung has redesigned the camera module for this year's iteration.

Beyond the Ultra model, Samsung’s big wildcard this year is the introduction of a standard Galaxy Z Fold 8. Rather than a watered-down, budget-friendly variant to cut costs, this is a completely new product line featuring a wider design language that starkly contrasts with the Ultra. The device sports a 4:3 main display—akin to a small tablet—paired with a more expansive, user-friendly outer screen.

This new generation of foldable smartphones is slated for unveiling at the Galaxy Unpacked event in London on July 22, before officially entering the market in early August.
