With the Galaxy S26 series officially hitting the shelves running the stable release of One UI 8.5, Samsung is apparently gearing up to expand its beta program well beyond the Galaxy S25 lineup.

Fresh leaks indicate that the initial beta firmware for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 has just surfaced on Samsung's servers. This serves as a strong signal that the tech giant's latest foldables are next in line to join the public testing phase.

Internal builds of One UI 8.5 for these foldables—alongside several other devices—have been floating around for quite some time. However, the pivotal shift from internal testing firmware to a public beta build typically means Samsung has ironed out the major bugs and is moving much closer to a broader consumer release.

Historically, Samsung rolls out its beta updates in strategic phases shortly after its newest flagships go on sale. Now that the Galaxy S26 is officially in the hands of consumers, a wider rollout of the One UI 8.5 Beta feels imminent.
