Samsung is accelerating the release of One UI 8 (Android 16) to more devices than ever. Even though it's only November, most eligible Galaxy models – including the budget segment – have already started receiving the update, and the Galaxy F05 and Galaxy M05 are the two latest names to join.
According to information recorded in India, a key market for the Galaxy M and Galaxy F series, the update for the Galaxy M05 carries firmware code M055FXXU5CYJ4, while the Galaxy F05 comes with code E055FXXU5CYJ4. Both belong to the budget smartphone group, aimed at mainstream users, but Samsung still favors early upgrades.
The One UI 8 version brings many valuable improvements, from a smoother interface, refined animations, enhanced privacy to battery optimization and overall performance. Users can check by going to Settings > Software update > Download and install. If you haven't seen the update notification yet, just wait a few more days as Samsung is rolling it out in batches.
Even without the Galaxy AI features, One UI 8 is still a notable upgrade that will modernize the experience on the low-cost phone line. Samsung is expected to complete the One UI 8 release roadmap for all devices before the end of this month, paving the way for the One UI 8.5 version that is expected to launch with the Galaxy S26 early next year.
