Samsung is officially rolling out its June 2026 security update for the Galaxy S26 lineup. The patch is making its debut in South Korea, with a wider global release expected in the coming days.
For the Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra in Samsung's home market, the download weighs in at roughly 565 MB. File sizes and firmware versions may vary slightly depending on your region and carrier, as the rollout progresses in phases.
This month’s update is all about under-the-hood security, tackling 45 vulnerabilities. Google provided 33 of these fixes, including five critical patches and 28 marked as high priority. Meanwhile, Samsung has added 12 proprietary fixes. Additionally, a patch from the Exynos team resolves a specific vulnerability affecting the DRM HDR driver.
Samsung’s in-house fixes primarily target devices running Android 14, 15, and 16. These address issues tied to Smart Suggestions, Samsung Account, Samsung Cloud, the Theme Manager, and various settings within the One UI interface.
Following the S26 series, Samsung is expected to expand the rollout to other devices later this week. The Galaxy Z Fold 7, Z Flip 7, and the S25 lineup are likely next in line. To see if the update has hit your device, you can manually check by heading to Settings > Software update > Download and install.
