While many older Galaxy devices are still waiting for the One UI 7 update, Samsung has suddenly launched the One UI 8 Beta testing program. If you are wondering if you can participate, just like previous years, this testing program is limited to certain countries and devices.

This year, Samsung skipped One UI 7.1 and 7.1.1 versions, moving straight from One UI 7 based on Android 15 to One UI 8 based on Android 16. This move seems to be to regain the sympathy of users after the delays with One UI 7.

However, not everyone has the opportunity to experience it early. The beta program is currently only open to some Galaxy S25 models in selected markets.

List of countries participating in the One UI 8 Beta

Samsung is currently only rolling out the One UI 8 beta program in four countries:

  • Germany
  • South Korea
  • United Kingdom
  • United States

Previously, markets such as India, China, and Poland were included in the One UI 7 beta program, but are not currently on the official list this year. However, community pages for the One UI 8 beta in India and Poland have appeared, suggesting that these markets will be added in the coming weeks.

If you are using a Galaxy S25, S25+, or S25 Ultra in one of the above countries, you can check the Samsung Members app. If you see a banner to participate in the test, just sign up and then go to Settings > Software update > Download and install to experience One UI 8.

While it offers an early chance to experience new features, the beta may contain bugs, so users should consider before installing. We will continue to update the list of new countries participating in the program in the coming time.
