Samsung has just confirmed that Samsung Wallet will officially support digital keys for Mercedes-Benz cars from July 2025. This feature allows Galaxy users to unlock, lock, and start their car entirely with their phone, providing a more seamless and convenient experience than ever.
Previously, Samsung Wallet supported Audi models, and now it continues to expand to Mercedes-Benz, one of the largest luxury car brands in the world. Digital keys not only help eliminate the need for physical keys but also allow users to control the car without taking their phone out of their pocket.
A notable plus is that users can easily share digital keys with relatives or friends through a simple interface. They can also limit or revoke access at any time. All digital keys are securely stored directly on the device, ensuring against unauthorized access.
In case of loss of the phone, users can use the Samsung Find service to remotely lock or erase the key. To activate this feature, users need to register the key via the Mercedes me app before integrating it into Samsung Wallet.
The feature will start rolling out from July on some compatible Mercedes-Benz models. This is an important step in turning the smartphone into a smart car control center in the Samsung ecosystem.
