It appears Samsung isn't ready to pull the curtain on its One UI 8.5 testing phase just yet. While there is currently no indication that the program will expand to other devices, owners of the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra should brace themselves for a new beta build arriving very soon.
According to reliable tipster Tarun Vats, One UI 8.5 Beta 4 is slated for release around January 19 or 20, 2026. Vats has a solid track record, having accurately predicted the launch windows for the first three betas, lending significant credibility to this latest leak. This timeframe also aligns perfectly with Samsung’s established release rhythm.
Since the program's inception, Samsung has maintained a consistent fortnightly update cadence, typically pushing out new builds early in the week. Given that the most recent beta dropped on January 5, 2026, a follow-up on January 19 makes logical sense. However, should minor scheduling adjustments occur, the rollout could slip slightly to January 20.
Of course, these plans remain subject to change if Samsung’s engineers encounter critical bugs during the finalization process. For now, the One UI 8.5 Beta remains exclusive to the Galaxy S25 lineup in select markets—including the US, UK, Germany, India, Poland, and South Korea—with no signs of a wider expansion just yet.
Looking ahead, the stable version of One UI 8.5 is expected to officially launch in March or April 2026. The next-generation Galaxy S26 series will likely hit shelves in early March, running the software out of the box, followed shortly by a wider rollout to older Galaxy models.
