Samsung is preparing to release a stable One UI 8 update for many Galaxy models this month. However, right before the launch, the company unexpectedly revealed some good news: the new Quick Share feature of One UI 8 will soon be available on devices running One UI 7 and older.
According to SamMobile, Quick Share version 13.8.01.11 has appeared on the Galaxy Store. This shows that Samsung is almost ready to deploy the feature to devices that do not use One UI 8. However, many models, such as the Galaxy S23 Ultra, Galaxy Z Flip 5, or Galaxy Z Fold5, have not yet seen the update, meaning that the release process will be carried out in stages.
The most prominent upgrade is the completely new Quick Share interface, divided into two separate tabs: Send and Receive, making selecting and sharing data more intuitive and faster. This is also the interface that Google applied to Quick Share on the original Android 16, showing the increasingly strong synchronization in the Android ecosystem.

This update also brings a series of notable features:
- New file receiving mode, allowing faster and smoother data transfer.
- Intuitive file sending mode, easy to operate.
- When the sending process is interrupted, Quick Share will only resend unfinished files.
- Device names can be longer, making identification easier.
- Integrated Nearby Devices interface supports file transfer to nearby Android devices.
In particular, after Samsung and Google merged Nearby Share and Quick Share, all Android devices can use the same sharing standard, removing barriers between manufacturers and bringing a more seamless experience than ever.
