Samsung Rolls Out January 2026 Security Patch to the Galaxy S24 Series

Samsung has officially started pushing the latest software update to its Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra lineup, delivering the January 2026 security patch. This update focuses heavily on system integrity, addressing 55 security vulnerabilities found within the Android OS and Samsung’s own software components.

Currently, the rollout is underway in South Korea, Samsung’s home market. The update package weighs in at approximately 404 MB and carries the firmware version S92xNKSS4CZA1. As per standard procedure, the tech giant is expected to expand availability to other regions and carriers over the coming days.

Galaxy S24 owners can manually check for the update by heading to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install. While this release doesn't introduce new features, it is a critical maintenance update designed to enhance stability and ensure the device remains secure for daily use.

Looking ahead, the Galaxy S24 series is slated to receive a major overhaul with One UI 8.5, based on Android 16 QPR2. That future update is expected to bring a refined interface and significant user experience improvements, keeping the device smooth and relevant for the long haul.
