After weeks of waiting, Samsung has finally released the One UI 8 update for the Galaxy M55, following a series of mid-range and popular devices such as the Galaxy A and Galaxy F that have been upgraded before. This is the latest Android 16 version, bringing a series of notable improvements in interface, performance, and smart features.
The One UI 8 update has now been deployed in India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and many other markets, with software code M556BXXU4CYJ4. The download size is about 2.6GB and comes with the October 2025 security patch, helping to enhance device protection. Users can check manually by going to Settings > Software update > Download and install.

With Android 16, One UI 8 offers a smoother experience with subtle motion effects, a refreshed clock interface, and a 90:10 split-screen ratio for more convenient multitasking. The Now Bar has been redesigned to be more modern and responsive, while the Live Notifications feature makes notifications more intuitive and easier to follow. Some users also said that battery life has improved significantly after the update.
Launched with Android 14, the Galaxy M55 is committed to 4 years of operating system upgrades and 5 years of security patches by Samsung. With this update, the device has officially received the second major Android version, which means it will be supported until Android 18 in the future.
To experience new features, users should ensure the device has enough battery and a stable Wi-Fi connection before updating. One UI 8 promises a cleaner interface, more optimized performance, and deeper AI integration – making the Galaxy M55 run smarter and smoother than ever.
