Samsung continues to maintain an impressive software update pace as it has just released One UI 8 (Android 16) for two mid-range models, Galaxy M15 5G and Galaxy M53, in Korea. In the domestic market, these two devices are known as Galaxy Wide 7 and Galaxy Quantum 3.

Android 16 version with One UI 8.0 has now started rolling out for Galaxy Wide 7 and Galaxy Quantum 3 with a capacity of more than 2GB. Specifically, the update for Galaxy Wide 7 has a firmware codename ending in CYI6, while the Galaxy Quantum 3 is GYI4. Users in Korea can check and download the new update by going to Settings > Software update > Download and install, then select Install now to restart the device.

After the update is released in Korea, the Galaxy M15 5G and Galaxy M53 5G in other markets, including Vietnam, are expected to receive One UI 8 next week.

In terms of features, One UI 8 brings a series of notable changes, such as the new Quick Share interface, a reworked Samsung Internet browser, and improved alarm, calendar, and reminder management features. In addition, Modes and Routines are also expanded with actions and conditions, while the Camera app adds new gestures for quick access to camera settings.
