The update addresses 37 vulnerabilities across the Galaxy A56, A55, A54, and A53 ahead of the highly anticipated One UI 8.5 rollout.

Samsung is finally rolling out its February 2026 security update to the Galaxy A5x lineup in South Korea, bringing crucial vulnerability fixes to the Galaxy A56, A55, A54, and A53.

The latest software patch focuses heavily on device safety, addressing 37 distinct security flaws. Depending on the model, users will see specific firmware versions hitting their devices—A566SKSS5BZB6 for the A56, A556SKSS6CZB2 for the A55, A546SKSSFEZB2 for the A54, and A536NKSSFGZB2 for the A53. Galaxy owners can manually check for the OTA (over-the-air) update by navigating to Settings > Software update > Download and install.

While Samsung is generally known for its prompt, month-of-release security rollouts, the February patch arrived noticeably later than usual. Industry watchers speculate the delay was likely caused by an all-hands-on-deck approach for the recent Galaxy Unpacked 2026 event, which saw the debut of the flagship Galaxy S26 series and Galaxy Buds 4.

Looking beyond routine security maintenance, there’s more on the horizon for Galaxy A-series owners. All four models are officially slated to receive the upcoming One UI 8.5 update, based on Android 16 QPR2. Expected to begin rolling out to eligible devices in the coming weeks, the major software overhaul promises a refreshed user interface alongside a host of new features.
