Samsung has just released the fourth One UI 8 Beta update for the Galaxy S25 series, marking an important step forward before the official release. Information about this test version was revealed a few weeks ago, when users discovered a new build being tested internally on Samsung's servers.

Just a few days ago, Samsung's Beta program manager confirmed that the update is being finalized and will be released soon. Now, Galaxy S25 users in Germany have started receiving the new beta with the firmware code S938BXXU5ZYGB. Other markets may be updated in the near future.

This update focuses on improving stability and fixing a series of bugs that were present in previous betas. Some notable changes include:

  • Added emergency update feature for Samsung IMS service, HD voice support, video calling, and enhanced chat.
  • Support full-screen switching when watching videos via DeX.
  • Fixed the operation error of Galaxy AI smart reply suggestion.
  • Fixed the freezing when activating Bixby Routine by voice.
  • Fixed the display of quick access icons on the lock screen.
  • Fixed the error of editing videos from the iNavi dash cam in the Gallery app.
  • Fixed the fingerprint sensor not responding on the lock screen.
  • Fixed the error when making calls from contacts by swiping when TalkBack is enabled.
  • Fixed the flickering phenomenon when switching between front and rear cameras.
  • Improved overall stability through updating many system applications.

With this update, it is likely that this will be the last beta before Samsung officially releases the stable version of One UI 8. The Galaxy S25 will almost certainly be the first device to receive the official version, followed by the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Galaxy Z Flip 6 – devices that have just been succeeded by the recently launched Fold 7 and Flip 7 and have One UI 8 pre-installed from the factory.

The appearance of the fourth beta shows that Samsung is in the final stages of completion, and Galaxy users can absolutely look forward to a smoother, more stable software experience in the near future.
