Samsung may surprise Galaxy A54 users with One UI 7.0 Beta

Currently, the One UI 7.0 beta is only available for the Galaxy S24 series, but it looks like Samsung is expanding the list of devices participating in the test. Recent reports have suggested that the Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Z Flip 6, and the Galaxy S23 series could soon be added to the beta program. What’s really surprising, however, is that Samsung is apparently considering adding the Galaxy A55 to the list – and possibly even the Galaxy A54.

According to @KeepUPwithOneUI, a leaker with a track record of accurately predicting Samsung’s software updates, the South Korean company has started testing the Android 15-based One UI 7.0 beta for the Galaxy A54. A shared screenshot shows firmware version A546EXXUBZYB8, which corresponds to the international variant of the Galaxy A54, appearing on Samsung’s servers. This suggests that the beta could soon be rolled out to more regions. However, while the signs point towards this possibility, there is no guarantee that Samsung will actually release a beta for the Galaxy A54.

One of the factors that could affect Samsung's plans is the progress of One UI 7.0 development. The company is facing significant delays in rolling out the stable version of the new interface. If Samsung decides to expand the beta testing program to more devices, including the Galaxy A54, users may have to wait at least another four to six weeks before the beta is released.

Previously, a leaked roadmap suggested that the One UI 7.0 stable update would be released for the Galaxy S24 series on April 18. However, this information was denied by Samsung's testers. So, for now, there is no official schedule for the update rollout.

Meanwhile, rumors suggest that Samsung may skip One UI 7.1 and One UI 7.1.1 to focus on One UI 8.0 sooner, which is expected to launch later this year. If this happens, the company may prioritize releasing a stable update instead of expanding the beta testing program to too many devices.
