Samsung has officially released the first One UI 8.5 beta following weeks of internal test builds circulating online. The initial phase targets the Galaxy S25 lineup in Germany, with plans to expand to additional markets shortly.

Like previous beta programs, users can register for the One UI 8.5 trial through the Samsung Members app. After completing registration, simply navigate to Settings > Software update > Download and install to grab the One UI 8.5 beta build.

Worth noting: the Galaxy S25 FE and Galaxy S25 Edge aren't part of the beta lineup—Samsung traditionally reserves early access for the core Galaxy S trio. You'll need either a Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus, or Galaxy S25 Ultra to join.

Samsung expects to roll out One UI 8.5 beta today across the United States, the United Kingdom, South Korea, and Germany. India and Poland are slated for the next wave, contingent on testing performance and user feedback.
